Cleaning Your Workspace Tutorial | |
|
It is often very important that you have a clean workspace. There are certain tools which you don't usually need which can get in the way, and freak you out (if you're clostrophobic). In this tutorial, you will learn how to deal with:
1) Unavailable window bars 2) Ruler tool (usually not useful) 3) Slice selection (not useful until the end)
1. Sometimes, your window bar will become hidden behind the Photoshop interface (a). To fix this, you go to Window > Reset Pallette Locations. After you do this, your window will be moved

2. Now that you have this done, you can get rid of that annoying ruler border which is not usually needed. Simply press Ctrl + R to toggle this on/off.

3. Next, you can get rid of the annoying "01" with the picture beside it and the border, all by pressing Ctrl + H.

Simple? Yes. Useful? Yes. Ive often struggled with these before i found out how to get rid of them. #'s 1 and 2 arent always un-useful but when you're creating an image, odds are you don't need them and they just clutter you're view.
