This is a very simple 3 step tutorial teaching and explaining how to use the color balance technique. This technique can be great to give your images color easily.
Color Balance is a great tool for changing/adding color to your images. Take this for example. The black and white image (A), very good but needs some color. Finish this tutorial and you will be able to add color like the image (B).

Download the .PSD
Step 1
Open the image you would like to change the colors of and desaturate it.
Step 2
Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Color Balance as shown in the screenshot.
Step 3
Play with the Color Balance settings. Be sure to change all three tone balances to optimize your color (shadows, midtones, highlights). To get something like the colors I generated, take a look at my screen shots. Shadows Midtones Highlights
