Indents Tutorial

A very easy tutorial showing how to indent parts of your web layouts, etc.


1. Start a new document, make the background grey and make a new layer (select this layer). (a) Select the single column marquee tool, (b) select a part of the document, and (c) stroke it black.

2. Move your selection over by pressing the left/right arrow once. Stroke this part white. You should now deselect and you will have a nice indent.



You're done. You can use this for many techniques. You can shear your result to get a curved indent seen in example A. The .PSD is available for this tutorial below.
