A simple tutorial to create a 3d realistic reflection of your objects.

1. Open the file which you would like to reflect (you must have the file as a layer, if you dont have anything to reflect, download this .PSD with the example in it.

2. Add a shadow to your ball. Double click on your layer with the ball on it, and go to Drop Shadow. You will have to play around with this, but I have included the settings I used.

3. Duplicate (a) the layer the ball is on, turn off the shadow (b) on that layer, and vertically flip the ball (Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical).

a)

b)

4. Place the flipped ball under the normal ball, and change the opacity of the flipped ball to around 30% (a).

Now you have a great reflectionated object! Use this with text, objects, and even web layouts.

Download the PSD!
